Into the West is play for three actors and all actors must be extremely adept at playing multiple roles. The show is also very physical and requires actors with excellent movement skills and ability to work with a choreographer. Actors should submit a photo and resume to the show’s producer/director Bert Goldstein at bert.goldstein@whartoncenter.com. Auditions will be by invitation only. You will be contacted to set up an appointment. PLEASE NOTE: All actors will be required to show proof of Covid vaccination at the audition. No exceptions.

All rehearsals and performances will be held at that the Wharton Center for Performing Arts in East Lansing, Michigan.

Material to Prepare:

Initial audition: Actors should prepare two short contrasting pieces - total audition should not exceed four minutes. If called back some ensemble, improv work and reading from the script.

Time Commitment:

First rehearsal is January 25, 2022, preview is February 15, 2022, opening February 16 and closing is February 20, 2022. School and public performances.

Ally - adult actor to play 8 year girl and other roles  - actor age range 20's to early 30s

Finn, adult actor to play 12 year boy and other roles - actor age range 20s to early 30s

Pa/Grandpa  and other roles - more mature actor to play wide age range of 30s to 60s
