Visión Latino Theatre Company presents the Midwest Premiere of Las Borinqueñas
By Nelson Diaz-Marcano  Directed by Xavier Custodio

ABOUT THE PLAY
Set in 1950s Puerto Rico during the controversial birth control pill trials, Las Borinqueñas tells the powerful, untold stories of five Puerto Rican women navigating identity, love, faith, and bodily autonomy under the shadow of colonialism. Inspired by true events, this urgent and lyrical play explores friendship, memory, and resistance—through song, laughter, and the unbreakable bonds of sisterhood.
