Website TUTA Theatre Chicago
TUTA Theatre Chicago is seeking performers for its production of Attempts On Her Life by Martin Crimp, directed by Co-Artistic Director Aileen Wen McGroddy.
A genre-defying ensemble piece, this play seeks to define the contradictory contours of contemporary existence. Deliciously impossible in its invitation, Attempts On Her Life will become a singular theatrical experience of wild text, tender humanity, and seductive sound. Performers will work collaboratively with the creative team to build a unique version of this 1997 play at TUTA’s home in Ravenswood Manor.
Material to Prepare:
A 1.5 to 2-minute performance of any contemporary text that incorporates the following: one prop, one analog sound, and one surprise!
Rehearsal period begins 5/7
Running until 7/7 with possible extension
We are seeking actors of all identities, ages, and body types for this ensemble show. We are especially looking for performers of music, speakers of languages other than English, and folks with experience in physical theatre/devising.
