Merry Chrismukkah

Merry Chrismukkah centers around the couple of Sarah and Nick as they prepare for their families arriving for the holidays. Sarah is Jewish, and Nick is Christian. This is not an issue for either of them…except that their families are devout in their religions…and Christmas happens to fall during Hanukkah this year. They originally have it all planned out, until Sarah’s family decides to arrive early, and then says they are staying with them. What transpires is a farcical romp as they try to make sure their apartment is appropriately decorated for each respective holiday and coping with how to communicate to their families that their partner is not of the same religion.

Merry Chrismukkah is a world premiere show, and anyone auditioning should note that the show will be actively workshopped through this process. We are looking for strong comedic actors (improv ability is a plus) who are excited about new play development and who aren’t afraid to lightly poke fun at religious stereotyping.

Some combat and intimacy choreography will be required of some characters, but not all.
