The Living Color Festival
The Living Color Festival is seeking performers for our BIPOC Play Festival.
The Living Color Festival is a ten minute play festival dedicated to providing opportunities to BIPOC artists in the Chicagoland area. This festival allows artists of color to explore the freedom of creating art without the “White Gaze” or as Toni Morrison describes it “The White Man over your shoulder pressuring you to create in a way that explains your culture or experience so that a white audience might understand it.” This festival is striving to uplift and amplify the work of artists of color.
Actors selected for the Living Color Festival will be paid a $85 stipend.
This Festival will be produced at The Berger Park Coach House (6205 N Sheridan Rd, Chicago, IL 60660).
