AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Production: The Go-Between (Musical)
Role: Young Leo

We are seeking a talented young actor to portray Young Leo in our upcoming production of The Go-Between. This is a key role in the musical, appearing throughout the story as the younger self of Leo Colston and helping bring the narrative’s memories and emotions to life.

Role Description – Young Leo

·         Gender: Male

·         Stage Age: 11–13

·         Vocal Range: Comfortable singing solo lines (treble / unchanged voice preferred)

·         Character: Curious, imaginative, and sensitive. Young Leo is an intelligent boy experiencing the wonder and confusion of a summer that will change his life forever. The role requires strong acting ability, emotional range, and confidence on stage.

Requirements

·         Strong acting skills with the ability to portray innocence and emotional depth

·         Basic singing ability; musical theatre experience is a plus

·         Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with adult cast members

·         Availability for rehearsals and all performance dates

Audition Details

·         Please prepare 16–32 bars of a musical theatre song in a similar style

·         Be prepared to read sides from the script

·         Bring a recent headshot and resume if available
