Auditions for Remy Bumppo’s Production of

GOD’S SPIES

Written by Bill Cain

Directed by Marti Lyons

Casting by Katie Galetti and Jasmine B. Gunter

SUMMARY: A working woman, a playwright, and a young lawyer and copyeditor become trapped in a brothel together during the lockdown in 1600’s plague era London. World Premiere, with a development workshop in June 2022.

We are casting for the role of EDGAR. Edgar is a self-educated, Scottish farm boy with a mind of a young lawyer. His religious background has tied his sensual nature in knots – at 19 or 20, he’s still a virgin and desperate not to be. As these knots are undone in the course of the play, he blossoms into a sensitive, sensual man. We are prioritizing BIPOC actors for this role.
