Throbbin’ Wood

PrideArts is now accepting video taped auditions for their upcoming panto Throbbin’ Wood!

British pantomime is now a popular form of theatre, incorporating song, dance, buffoonery, slapstick, in-jokes, audience participation and innuendo.  Lots of innuendo.  Join us as we turn Got-wood Forest into the raunchiest, gayest, glitter-filled place to be this holiday season!

The fine folk of Got-wood Forest are terrorized by taxes imposed by the wicked Sheriff of Frottingham who’ll stop at nothing to seize the throne of England and do the dirty with Maid Marian. Only the outlaw Throbbin Wood, Triar F**k and the Horny Men can save the day. With the help of the hapless Silly Willy, his mother Nanny Fanny and the magical Fairy Glitter-ous, can Got-wood be saved from the Sheriff? Or will they be left all a-quiver?

Improv skills and a passable British accent are highly desirable.

The deadline for submissions is end of day Friday September 13.  Callbacks will be held in-person at PrideArts September 16th and 17th 6p-10p.

An intimacy designer / fight choreographer will be hired for this production.
