Oak Park Festival Theatre is pleased to announce upcoming NON-EQUITY General Auditions for our 46th Summer Season. Diversity and inclusion are guiding values in our work and in the stories that we tell. ALL races, gender identities, sizes and ages are strongly encouraged to submit.

2020 SEASON: The Problem with Family

HAY FEVER by: Noel Coward

Directed by: Barbara Zahora

Outdoors in Austin Gardens- 167 Forest Ave, Oak Park

Cast: 5 female-identifying, 4 male-identifying

THE TEMPEST  by: William Shakespeare

Directed by: TBA

Outdoors in Austin Gardens- 167 Forest Ave, Oak Park

Cast: 14 performers.

Materials to prepare: Please prepare 1 Shakespeare or classical monologue and 1 contemporary monologue not to exceed 1 minute EACH. Please bring 2 copies of your headshot and resume, stapled and cut to size.

Note for TEMPEST: We are looking to cast in VERY non-traditional ways on this project and are open to all ages, races, body types, and gender identifications for this general call.  We’re looking for the soul of each of these characters rather than to fulfill a traditional casting model. If you’d like to be seen for a specific role in this story, we’d suggest preparing that character’s monologue or soliloquy from the play as part of your audition.

Submissions: If interested, please submit your headshot and resume for consideration  in a single PDF labeled (Last Name, First Name)  as well as brief introduction indicating your preferred date and time to OPFT Casting at opfestcasting@gmail.com with the subject: 2020 AUDITIONS (YOUR NAME).
