Music Theater Works is excited to receive general submissions for our upcoming show of Annie. The audition submissions are due by Friday, May 30, 2025. Auditions will only be accepted through the Google Form in this link: https://forms.gle/FfNRCseQJyKEi2fp9
Please send all questions about casting to casting@musictheaterworks.org. We are looking forward to seeing your submissions! Callbacks will be the week of June 9th.
Material to Prepare:
Please send a 30-45 second video, unlisted YouTube link, of music that is in the style of the show or from the show. If possible, please send us a dance reel as well.

Thanksgiving Parade: Thursday, November 27th
Spacing: Wednesday, December 10th
Tech Rehearsals: Thursday, December 11th, through Tuesday, December 16th
Preview with notes: Wednesday, December 17th at 2:00pm, Thursday, December 18st at 7:00pm
Understudy Rehearsal: TBD
Performance: Fri 12/19 at 7:00pm; Sat 12/20 at 2:00pm; Sun 12/21 at 2:00pm
Mon 12/22 at 2:00pm; Fri 12/26 at 7:00pm; Sat 12/27 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm; Sun 12/28 at 2:00pm
Tue 12/30 at 2:00pm; Wed 12/31 at 2:00pm; Fri 01/02 at 7:00pm; Sat 01/03 at 2:00pm and 7:30pm; Sun 01/04 at 2:00pm

Rehearsals are generally M-Th from 6:30-10:30 PM and Sun. 5-10 PM. Tech Schedule will start at 5:30 PM on weeknights and as early as 1:00 PM on Weekends.
No absences are allowed during Tech.
Character Type/Restrictions:
Annie - A street-wise orphan; she is eventually taken in by Oliver Warbucks. Spunky, friendly, big-voiced. Gender: Female presenting Age: 10 to 12 Vocal range:A3 to G5
Warbucks - A successful businessman with a warm heart. Rich, stiff-collared, bullish. Gender: Male presenting Age: 40 to 55 Vocal range: B3 to Gb5
Grace Farrell - Faithful secretary to Mr. Oliver Warbucks. Poised, sweet, gentle. Gender: Female presenting Age: 20 to 35 Vocal range: Bb3 to G5
Orphans - The other girls in the orphanage with Annie. These girls are gritty, neglected and vulnerable, yet basically honest and potentially loveable. Gender: Female presenting Age: 6 to 13
- Molly - The youngest, Annie's closest friend, and often depicted as the sweetest.
- Kate - The shyest and most reserved, often appearing as the second youngest.
- Tessie - Easily moved to tears, often repeating "Oh my goodness," and generally quite emotional.
- Pepper - The toughest and most bossy, often clashing with Annie.
- July - The quietest and most nurturing, often acting as a mother figure.
- Duffy - The eldest orphan, a good friend to all.
Servants - The servants at the Warbucks mansion. Includes Drake, Mrs. Pugh, Mrs. Greer, Cecille, and Annette. Gender: Any Age: 20 to 50
Miss Hannigan - The orphanage matron who hates children but is fond of liquor. Very disillusioned, bitter, and cold. Gender: Female presenting Age: 30 to 45 Vocal range: A3 to F5
Rooster - Miss Hannigan's no-good brother looking for a quick buck. A sleazy, slick con man. Gender: Male presenting Age: 25 to 35 Vocal range: B3 to G5
Lily - Rooster's girlfriend, who is also out for a quick buck. She is considered to be a floozy and bimbo. Gender: Female presenting Age: 20 to 30 Vocal range: B3 to G5
Bert Healy - The ultimate radio personality. He helps Annie by broadcasting about the search for her birth parents. Gender: Male presenting Age: 30 to 45 Vocal range: E4 to G5
Roosevelt - The 32nd President of the United States. A Democrat and friend of Warbucks. Gender: Male presenting Age: 40 to 60 Vocal range: Eb3 to F4
Ensemble - Servants (Drake, Mrs. Greer, Mrs. Pugh), Boylan Sisters, Cabinet Members, Hooverville Citizens Gender: Any
