The Highland Park Players proudly presents “Be Our Guest: a Culinary Cabaret!”
A food-themed cabaret, with live music, featuring the Chicago area’s BEST KIDS TALENT, AGES 5-18! Singing and non-singing parts available. The show will consist of a tasteful array of solos, duets, small group numbers as well as group number(s), assigned by the directors based on age and ability.
Audiences will enjoy a culinary feast of amazing desserts and cocktails from some of the North Shore’s finest establishments. This delicious program will include favorites like “Candy Man,” “Food, Glorious Food,” “Bruce,” “What Baking Can Do,” as well as comedic acting scenes from a comedy troupe called the Taste Budz.
Performances: Saturday March 4th at 7:00pm and Sunday March 5th at 2:00pm at the Highland Park Community House (1991 Sheridan Rd, Highland Park)
Audition Information: An audition is required to participate. Walk-ins are welcome but signup appointment is preferred. Virtual auditions possible by e-mail request. Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons in Februray, 12:30-3:30pm at West Ridge Center (636 Ridge Rd, Highland Park, IL 60035). Every actor may NOT be called to every rehearsal, but that is TBD. Tech rehearsal is Saturday March 4th 1:00pm-6:00pm at the Highland Park Community House. An actor must participate in both performances.
This is a "kid's cabaret" - you must be between the ages of 5-18 to participate.
Singing and non-singing parts available.
Dialogue and songs assigned by directors based on age and experience level.
