With collaboration comes amazing stories
Our company is producing our original jazz musical “Midnight At The Sunset Cafe”, a celebration of Jazz Music and black icons who frequented the legendary Sunset Cafe in Bronzeville. This is a fictional musical revue that will include featured performance roles such as Moms Mabley, Josephine Baker, Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong and Bessie Smith with 3-4 additional black characters.
We are looking for singers, dancers, actors to fill these roles.
Please submit a resume, headshot, audition reel, demo, etc
Material to Prepare:
1 minute monologue or speech. 2-3 min song and a 2 min dance sequence. You can pick one of these to do or all three.
Time Commitment:
Rehearsals will be Saturdays 2-7pm But will add more as needed two weeks in advance with approval and insight from cast and crew.
The show will debut Feb. 4-27.
Character Type/Restrictions:
Men 23-4o
Women: 23-50 years old.
