Here’s the Exit Theatre Company is honored to present the Chicago premiere of wayfinding by Whitney Rowland, directed by Hudson Therriault.
Jane is an emotionally-numbed new widow. Harrison is an inattentive, self-sabotaging fiancé. In seeking escape, these two strangers collide – both literally and figuratively – tangling their life lines and setting them on a time-bending journey involving an intercontinental plane crash, a magical forest, and a choice that leads them both to an unexpected destination.

Material to Prepare:
Please prepare 1 contemporary monologue (no more than 2-minutes in length) and/or 1-2 of the pre-selected sides from the script from the Audition Materials.

Time Commitment:
Initial Read Through: August 20
Rehearsals (subject to change): August 29 - Oct 1 Tues, Wed, Fri, & Sun 6-9 PM or 7-10 PM (Mon, Thurs & Sat off)
Tech: Oct 2-5
Previews: Oct 6-8
Performances: Oct 09-11, 13, & 15-18. All performances will take place at 7:30 PM
Character Type/Restrictions:

HARRISON (late 20s, he/him, any ethnicity) – self-sabotaging, passionate; fiancé to Les

ACTOR 1 & ACTOR 2 (20s-30s, she/her, any ethnicity) Two actors playing a mix of:
- DOCTOR — fresh from their residency, new at this hospital
- REPRESENTATIVE — tired of everyone's bullshit
- REPORTER
- OFFICER
- NEWSCASTERS
ACTOR 3 (20s-30s, he/him, any ethnicity)
- MATTHEW – former lover & now friend of Harrison
- FLIGHT ATTENDANT — doing his best up there
- NEWSCASTER (pre-recorded audio and/or video)
