Trans & Nonbinary Arts & Event Production Company
Trans Scribe is a new works festival aimed at giving trans/nonbinary playwrights, composers, and directors a place to produce their art. Over the three day festival, there will be a variety of works presented, ranging from full length plays to one act plays and musicals, 10-minute plays, and musical pieces.
All performances will take place in Steppenwolf’s 1700 Theater. June 6th, 7th and 8th.
Rehearsals haven’t been scheduled yet, but space will be reserved during the below time:
Sundays (12-6pm): May 4, 11, 18, 25
Mondays (7-10pm): May 5, 12, 19, 26
Tuesday (7-10pm): May 6, 13, 20, 27
Wednesdays (7-10pm): May 7, 14, 21, 28
Material to Prepare:
All submissions require 2 minutes of storytelling, this can be in the form of a monologue or any other story telling medium you'd like to showcase.
To be considered for Musical Theatre pieces please also include 1 to 1.5 minutes of a song that tells a story.
