ECLIPSE THEATRE COMPANY ANNOUNCES 2020 CARYL CHURCHILL SEASON GENRAL AUDITIONS
Eclipse Theatre Company, the Midwest’s only professional theater devoted to the works of a single playwright each season, announces general auditions for its three-production 2020 Caryl Churchill season. Auditions are for non-Equity performers only, and will take place at Eclipse’s rehearsal space at 4001 North Ravenswood, Suite 602-B on Friday, October 18; Saturday, October 19; and Sunday, October 20 at times to be determined. Specific information for these auditions is as follows:
Auditions are by invitation only; to apply for consideration for these auditions, actors should submit an electronic copy of their headshot and resume to email@example.com by Friday, October 4 at 5:00 PM CST. Actors selected for these auditions will be notified via e-mail no later than Sunday, October 12.
Actors should prepare one contemporary monologue of no more than two minutes in length. Use of a British dialect is not necessary but welcome.
Non-Equity performers of all racial and ethnic background, ages, and gender identification are encouraged to submit for these auditions; because of time limitations, preference may be given to actors who have not auditioned for Eclipse in the past two seasons. Auditions will be conducted by Eclipse’s Casting Director, Zach Bloomfield, Ensemble Member Steve Scott, Director Rachel Lambert as well as Eclipse company members.

The 2019 Christopher Durang Season concludes with Why Torture is Wrong, and the People Who Love Them, performing out of the Athenaeum’s Studio 3 from November 14 – December 15, Directed by Steve Scott.
