Please email a headshot, resume, and a digital audition to casting@doorshakespeare.com. Auditions should include a Shakespeare monologue and contrasting classical or heightened-language piece. Given the doubling in LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST, we encourage actors to make clear and contrasting character choices.
Videos should be submitted via an unlisted or private streaming link (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo).

Time Commitment:
The 2026 season runs June 29–August 22, 2026, in the Garden at Björklunden, Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. Performances run Monday through Saturday, weekdays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. Rehearsals begin June 1.

Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest is precise, controlled, and unwavering in her convictions. She moves through the world with absolute authority and a fixed sense of social order. Her logic is rigorous and her stakes are real.

Boyet/Dull/Marcade in Love’s Labour’s Lost
Boyet is the attendant and advisor to the Princess of France. Having worked with the Princess for many years, their relationship is similar to that of an older sister or aunt. With a sharp wit and unwavering dedication, Boyet's guidance is led by loyalty, life experience, familiarity, and caring.
A constable of the town, Dull's name reflects their personality. Dull is earnest and well-meaning but struggles to keep up with the witty, wordplay-heavy world around them.
Marcade is a messenger.
