Wednesday Addams – The Ballet! (Dancers ages 8-18 any style)

The Youth Dance Theater of Greater Chicago announces a second round of auditions for its spring production of Wednesday Addams – The Ballet! Step into the wonderfully weird world of Nevermore Academy! Wednesday Addams – The Ballet is an original all-dance production inspired by the hit Netflix series. Dancers will embody their favorite characters as Wednesday and her oddball cohorts dance, battle, conjure, and unravel a gothic mystery—making the world a little more quirky, kooky, and spooky along the way. This production blends multiple dance styles, theatrical storytelling, and costuming to create a performance unlike anything else in Chicagoland.

In this second round, we continue to audition for the following roles: Morticia Addams, Gomez Addams, Uncle Fester, Joseph Crackstone plus members of the ensemble. All auditions are via video. The deadline to submit your audition video has been extended to midnight Saturday January 10, 2026.

Performance: March 28, 2026 at the Madison Street Theater, Oak Park
Rehearsals: Sundays starting January 4, 2026 between 12:00–5:00 p.m. on a rolling schedule. Individual call times vary by role and scene. (Second round cast members may begin later.) This performance project is ideal for committed dancers who are eager to perform, learn repertory, and be part of a fully staged theatrical dance experience. All who audition will be cast in the show and cast in roles appropriate for age and skill level.

Audition fee: $25

Production fee: $250 payable upon acceptance of the role.
