City Lit Theater announces auditions for Aztec Human Sacrifice: A Musical in Two Acts! A BRAND NEW MUSICAL!  Music and lyrics by Kingsley Day, Book by Philip LaZebnik and Kingsley Day. Directed By Adrian Abel Acevedo

Synopsis: It’s the night before the beginning of the Aztec empire’s new millennium, and the Chosen One–so named because he is to be sacrificed in order to make the sun rise next morning–has run off with the Emperor’s daughter.  If he is not found, the sun will not rise and the world will end.

Rehearsals begin July 16th.

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS of a 32 bar cut from any of the following musicals:
Post-Golden Age (1960-1969)
Pre-Contemporary (1970-1999)
Think epic musicals like "Les Miserables, Evita, Fiddler on the Roof, Phantom, etc" Anything Sodheim, Schwartz or Classic Jason Robert Brown. This music in this new musical is lush, story-driven (many sing-song scenes), precious and lovely.

Searching for: Actors/Singers of the Latinè and Native American community, Male and Female Presenting/Non-Binary/Gender Nonconforming.

The Emperor, age: 30-50

The High Priest, age: 25-45

The Chosen One, age: 18-30

The Princess, the Emperor’s daughter, age: 18-30
