Chicago Children’s Theatre is looking for a non-equity multi-instrumentalist for our upcoming fall show Frederick. The role of Musician Mouse will require to uphold/play the music for the entire show. This role will be on stage with all of the actors but most likely on one side of the stage with the instruments. We are particularly interested in someone advanced in both piano and guitar!
This show will have a demanding yet extremely rewarding schedule where children’s laughter and joy will make your mornings. The show will perform from Wednesday to Sunday, twice a day for a total of 10 shows a week. Performances are at 10am and 12pm during the weekdays and 9:30am and 11:30am during weekends. This schedule, though fast-paced, will give you afternoon and nighttime flexibility.
Rehearsals will be likely from 10am-4pm Wed-Sun. Tech 12pm-8pm or Weekend 10am-8pm.

Instruments:
Due to the musical nature of this show, we will be using lots of instruments on stage. We hope you will be able to use your personal instrument during the show, which will be determined during the collaboration and devising of rehearsals. CCT will pay you a small rental fee to use your instrument during the run of the show, amount TBD according to what it shapes up to be.
