Who
BrightSide Theatre is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion while promoting cultural awareness and sensitivity. We encourage performers of all races and ethnicities, gender and sexual identities, ages, body types, and abilities, to submit/attend every audition.
Seeking strong adult actors that are 18+. Local hires only (no housing or travel provided). We encourage Trans and Gender Non-Conforming performers to audition as genders listed as those of the character, not the performer.
Submissions
Email your headshot, resume, which available roles you would like to be considered for (Dr. Frank-n-Furter, Riff Raff, Rocky Horror and/or Phantom) and a video that showcases your voice in the style of the show to info@brightsidetheatre.com.
Time Commitment
Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, September 2, 2025 and take place on Sunday through Thursday evenings. Not all cast is called to each rehearsal. Tech week is Oct 19 –23. No rehearsal conflicts will be accepted for tech week or any performances.
Performances
All performances will be at the Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall on the Campus of North Central College, 31 S. Ellsworth in Naperville. Opening 10/25/25; Closing 11/9/25 (Fri/Sat evenings at 7:30pm and Sun matinees at 2pm – 9 performances total)
Pay Rate: $300 Stipend
Casting Breakdown:
Dr. Frank-N-Furter: (identifies as male) 30‘s-50’s A self-indulgent cross-dressing mad scientist/transvestite/master of the castle. He has impeccable comedic timing, an incredibly forward sense of sexuality, and an irresistible charisma. Baritone.
Riff Raff: (identifies as male) 20’s-40’s Brother/lover of Magenta and a disgruntled, Transylvanian underling of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Riff-Raff eventually overthrows his master in order to return to his home planet. Rock Tenor.
Rocky Horror: (identifies as male) 20’s-30’s Created by Dr. Frank-N-Furter from scratch he is the epitome of “the perfect man” with a toned body whose sole purpose is simply to serve as a plaything for his creator. Rocky’s knowledge of the world is limited to the purely lustful and sexual. Tenor.
3 Phantoms/Transylvanians: (identify as male) 20’-30’s Ever-present, always lurking inhabitants of The Rocky Horror Show. A combination of voices
