Re-examining contemporary classics
Blank Theatre Company is seeking an actor to join the cast of On the Twentieth Century with book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and music by Cy Coleman.
On the Twentieth Century is directed by Blank Theatre’s co-artistic director Danny Kapinos with music direction by Aaron Kaplan and choreography by Jennifer Cupani. This production is currently in rehearsal.

REHEARSALS
Rehearsals: Sundays-Thursdays 7:00-10:00pm through 5/2/24
Tech: 6:00-11:00pm Monday - Thursday 5/6/24-5/10/24
Rehearsals will be held at Midsommer Flight’s Rehearsal Space, 1020 W Bryn Mawr Ave
PERFORMANCES
Previews 5/10/24 and 5/12/24
Opening 5/14/24
Closing 6/9/24
Performances Thursday-Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3:00pm. One Saturday performance on 6/8/24 at 2:00pm. One Monday performance on 6/3/24 at 7:30pm.
Understudies are required to attend one rehearsal a week, all full run throughs, 2 dress rehearsals, 2 previews and see the show once a week. There are 2 understudy rehearsals once the show is open for understudy preparation.
Character Type/Restrictions:
UNDERSTUDY for OSCAR JAFFE - Baritone - 30s to 50s - A delusionally optimistic director and producer who won’t let his continual failure deter him from feeling utterly confident that his next project will be a gigantic hit. Willing to risk everything at any given moment in order to move just one rung up the ladder.
