Website Asian American Bar Association of Greater Chicago
The Asian American Bar Association of Greater Chicago is doing a reading and dramatization of an important case in Asian-American legal history, United States v. Wen Ho Lee. Twenty-five years ago, a Taiwanese-American scientists was suspected of espionage, called a traitor, charged with crimes, and held in solitary confinement, and then the case fell apart, leading to a rare judicial apology. Lawyers will read most of the parts of a script, but we’d like to have an actor for the part of Wen Ho Lee himself – this will involve an interrogation by FBI agents as well as transcripts from the court case.
Time Commitment:
The event is on May 29 from 4:30 to 6 pm. We likely will have a rehearsal a few days earlier.
