420 Shakespeare, Chicago’s own Shakespeare-friendly cannabis comedy show, is seeking understudy performers to join our ensemble. Experience with Shakespeare/classical text, improv comedy, singing/musical ability and/or puppetry/ventriloquism is highly preferred. Actively seeking performers of all backgrounds, ages, sizes, racial identities, physical abilities, and gender-identities (and/or non-conforming).
Auditions are by invitation. Please send your headshot and resume with video of one short (90 seconds or less) verse monologue and a special skill, such as singing/playing a musical instrument. If you have submitted or been seen previously, please email for appointment.

Producer does not promote irresponsible consumption. If you believe you may have a problem, please do not apply. Must be 21+ with valid ID.

Time Commitment:
Attend 1 Friday evening performance.
1-2 put in rehearsals (TBD).
On call nights to be scheduled in advance.
1 guaranteed show.
Note: Show runs weekly on Fridays through August 15th. Special performances on July 5th and 6th. All dates subject to change.
