GRIMM AF – World Premiere Musical
We are doing a Chicago workshop for Grimm AF, an original musical comedy set in an updated fairy tale world. This production will rehearse in Chicago (with 2-3 workshop performances at the end of the rehearsal period) with the possibility of debuting at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Please only submit if you are available for all dates and local to Chicago! You must have a valid passport that has an expiration date of March 2027 or later.

Time Commitment:
Rehearsals (Chicago Workshop): June 15–29, 2026 (Monday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm CST)
Performance Dates (Chicago Workshop): June 29, June 30, and a TBD performance on July 1, 2026 (2–3 workshop performances total - Daytime and Nightime Potentially Needed)
Potential Edinburgh Fringe Dates: July 30–August 18, 2026

CHARACTER ROLES:
WOLF: Baritenor
CHARLIE/PIED PIPER/BRIAN/OFFICER: Tenor (Rock)
DAD/RUMPELSTILTSKIN/TWIGGY: Baritone/Bass
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
Dad - 30s, Corny, Devoted
Wolf - Overly intense, brooding and melodramatic. He takes himself and everything else way too seriously.
Prince Charming/Pied Piper - Charming, narcissist, seeking praise and power through convincing manipulation.
Rumpelstiltskin - An Imp. Confident but misunderstands the world. No concept of personal boundaries or punctuation. Constantly angling to steal a baby because he wants to be a dad.
Mr. Brick - A Pig. Pompous, abrasive, slovenly.
Twiggy - A Pig. Sassy, smug.
Brian- age 4 (played by adult), Becky's son from a previous relationship, spoiled.
Priest - 30-50s, Genuine, feels like part of the scenery so they're excited when anyone pays them attention.
Officer - Cop in the Domain
Guard - Guard in the Domain
