Essential Invisible, in partnership with CIRCA Pintig, is seeking actors for an upcoming staged reading of Shakespeare’s King Lear, adapted and directed by Noella Bonsol. This production will center a Pinoy lens in its storytelling while remaining open to casting all Asian-American actors.

King Lear is a tragic play about an aging king who decides to divide his kingdom among his daughters based on how greatly they profess their love for him. As relationships unravel and loyalties are tested, themes of power, family, pride, and justice come to the forefront. The story explores the consequences of misjudgment and the emotional toll of betrayal and aging.

This is a unique opportunity to explore a classic work through a culturally grounded and contemporary perspective in a collaborative, community-focused environment.
