The Factory Theater is seeking male-identifying, non-binary, and transmasc actors for both main cast and understudy roles for Kubrickian written by Zack Peercy and directed by AJ Schwartz. We are seeking and encourage actors of all sizes, ethnicities, and abilities to submit.
Show Description: KUBRICKIAN is a two-hander about masculinity, communication, and artistic expression. Set in a liminal space, three men wait to have their vocal cords ripped out by an unseen captor. CHRIS is obsessed with director Stanley Kubrick. DANNY is lonely and doesn’t really watch movies. HOWARD is catatonic. This play is a dialogue, then a monologue, then an interpretive dance adaptation of “2001: A Space Odyssey”.

Rehearsals will be Monday-Wednesday evenings from 7-10 PM, Saturdays from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, & Sundays from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM.
Performances are Fridays & Saturdays at 8 and Sundays at 3.
Character Type/Restrictions:
CHRIS - late 20s. frenetic. passionate. louder.
DANNY - early 30s. reserved. even-tempered. quieter.
HOWARD - older. Spends 98% of the play in a catatonic state on stage.
For understudies: Chris and Danny will each have their own understudies who will also both understudy Howard.
