About the Event
The Athenaeum Center, one of Chicago’s most historic theatres, is producing a private pop-up event in which guests are welcomed into the building as though it were opening night in the 1920s. We’re seeking immersive actors to help bring the Jazz Age to life with period charm and audience interaction.

Roles
1920s Ushers/Greeters (Male or Female)

Welcome guests at the lobby doors in character.

Escort them to their seats with a touch of theatrical flair.

Engage in playful, historically inspired banter.

Atmosphere Performers

Support the immersive mood with short character interactions.

Maintain energy and presence throughout the guest arrival and seating experience.

Event Details
Program Length: 30 minutes

Rehearsal: 1.5 hours, scheduled the week of the event

Performance Date: Monday, September 8

Compensation: $50 stipend

Requirements
Strong improvisation and comfort interacting with guests in character

Ability to embody 1920s style and demeanor

Experience in immersive theatre or themed performance is a plus
