For the first time, Sub Rosa will be hosting a 24 Hour Durational Theatre Play Festival, featuring works by new and burgeoning writers and artists with any level of experience. The show, which will play at Mrs. Murphy’s Irish pub from 6 PM to 11 PM on Saturday, September 13th, will feature six brand new, never before seen works!
We are currently looking for 18 actors to fill roles in our six selected plays. Find out more about auditions, expectations, and scheduling below.
Time Commitment:On August 31, selected actors will receive a final draft of the script they will be acting in. Prior to the beginning of rehearsals on September 13, actors are expected to get off-book and communicate with directors as per any costumes or props they need to bring, as Ad Infinitum is only a one-day rehearsal and performance commitment!
Rehearsals will take place all day on September 13, culminating in the performance of all six shows, beginning at 6pm. Note that actors selected for mainstage performances will be called from 8am to 5pm, with breaks and a lunch break built in. Actors selected for frontliner performances will be called for a half-day, from 11:45am to 5pm, with breaks built in.
We currently have 27 slots open for in-person auditions, which will take place on Saturday, August 23rd, from 12pm to 4:30pm. To sign up for a slot, please email subrosatheatrecollective@gmail.com, along with a headshot, resume, website link, and general period of time that works for you.
If we run out of slots, or you are unavailable on the 23rd, you are welcome to submit a self-tape to usĀ using the form linked here. Video submissions are due by 11:59pm on August 22nd.
Actors will be informed of casting decisions by Monday, August 25th.
