CASTING NOTICE – STAGED READING of screenplay NOCTURNAL ADMISSIONS
Open Space Arts is seeking 10 dynamic performers (all genders) for a staged reading of NOCTURNAL ADMISSIONS, a fast-paced, high-stakes action thriller by Christian Reda, winner of the 2025 Queer Expression Writing Contest for Stage and Screen.

 

 

 

 

 

Material to Prepare:

Email your headshot/resume, a brief note of interest, the role you are interested in, and a 1-minute contemporary monologue (video/self-tape) to osaauditions@gmail.com.

Time Commitment:

Performance Date: Saturday, May 10 at 7:30 PM
Location: Open Space Arts, 1411 W Wilson
Rehearsals: In-person, Monday & Tuesday, May 5 & 6, from 6:30–9:30 PM and your must be available for both

Character Type/Restrictions:

JONATHAN VANALDEN – 62, American Ambassador to Mexico. Commanding, composed, diplomatic.
LENORA VANALDEN – 52, striking blonde with a meticulously maintained appearance. Elegant, ambitious.
VICTOR DOMINGUEZ – 49, tall and attractive, with quiet intensity.
YURI VADIM – 42, tall, muscular, shaved head, piercing dark eyes. Russian accent. Cold and dangerous.
“ANGEL” CRUZ – 24, exotic dancer. Lean, athletic, and charismatic. Looks like a young Mayan warrior.
BRUNO CALABRESE – 40, tough, street-smart NYPD cop. Italian-American, brash but loyal.
LEIGH HUNTER – 36, striking redhead. Sharp, confident, possibly mysterious.
SENATOR TATE – 46, tall, dark-haired, polished and politically bland.
JOAN TATE – 39, petite, fashionable, poised blonde.
ENSEMBLE (2 performers) – Play a variety of supporting roles across the script.
