Idle Muse Theatre Company is accepting submissions for the roles of ARIEL (see below) in The Tempest.

William Shakespeare’s final full-length theatrical work tells of a faraway island where magic, illusion, and spirits run wild, and where a usurped noble and his daughter, banished by betrayal, endure out of sight of society. When a magical tempest brings a royal ship within reach of the island, plans and schemes for vengeance and justice emerge, as well as burgeoning love, fantastical happenings, and possibly even forgiveness.

Auditions will be held in early to mid-June.

This production will have an intimacy designer to support scenes of intimacy between characters, a violence designer to support violence/combat and oversee movement, and a music director to support music performed on stage.

There is a base stipend of $100 for this role. In addition to the base stipend, Idle Muse operates under a shareholder model, in which a full 50% of box office revenue is reserved and divided evenly among the cast and production team.
